Fortify Our Rebel Youth is a youth component under the umbrella of No Easy Props, originally founded in 1997. No Easy Props, Inc. is committed to preserving Hip-Hop culture by providing quality education, and entertainment primarily for Black/Latinx/Indigenous/API young people and multigenerational communities from low socioeconomic areas in Los Angeles, through engaging programs, workshops, performances, and cultural events primarily throughout the communities of Los Angeles and Denver. The goal is to provide a platform to educate and cultivate skills in dance, art, and music amongst multiple generations taught by actual practitioners of Hip-Hop with lived and applied knowledge of Hip-Hop culture, to primarily engage Black and Latinx youth and co-partner with BIPOC communities on their terms, to work for equity, help cultivate safe social spaces, self-esteem, awareness, and community stewardship, plus appreciation for diversity, all the while having fun!
About Us
Our Story
Our story solely began from the need to address issues affecting youth who have been impacted by colonization, slavery, oppression, and systemic racist institutions of white-centered learning and injustice. We designed the Fortify Our Rebel Youth (FOR Youth) program to take back our youth and help guide them toward a more prosperous future.
